From your Saturday arrival at the airport, ( Granada, preferably or Malaga ), you will be taken care of. We will already have prior knowledge of your perceived level of fitness, race goals, personal goals, food preferences etc, as a result of email " conversations ".
The first day you will be met at the airport, introduced to the hotel staff, ( we use a selection
of venues depending on group size, a couple of them are described in Accommodation on www.trailrunspain.com ), shown around Alhama de Granada and generally informed of
all that is available in the town.
Breakfast ( with any additions you have specified ) is served at 9am which ensures you get plenty of rest, ( this sometimes takes some adjusting too, especially if your job means early starts so bring plenty to read ). We tend to leave the hotel around 10am each day,
sometimes taking a short drive to the trail head so there is plenty of time to digest
breakfast.
The programme is planned so that each day the run covers a longer distance and each trail varies in scenery and terrain getting progressively " harder " as we go for more height.
We have also built in a " rest day " which includes a visit to Granada and the Alhambra Palace. The admission price is included in the cost.
If a club group ( minimum 4 ) have a week not shown that they would like to suggest please email info@axarsport.com and we will see what we can do.
Any late changes or additions will be posted on the NEWS section of www.trailrunspain.com

( Review of Long and Ultra Distance Off-Road Running
" ... being talked to by people who have experienced what you are thinking of putting
yourself through. "
" However, this one really does go into the minutiae of how to move up from the marathon distance to longer distance trail running. As such it is a really good place to start. You are given a plan to move up your distance, then lots of practical advice about the detail of
long running - gauging time and distance, nutrition on the move, support teams, darkness, walking, rest and recovery, etc."
" I can’t but help think that these are the sort of publications that you would like to have on your running bookshelf, to refer to as necessary, and look forward to seeing further issues
in the series. "
