Trail Running and Cycling in Andalucia 2008.
During 2008 we will be offering running and road cycling tours upon demand. Our experience has shown that runners and cyclists find our two centre and home base programmes just as challenging. We can cover almost the same terrain working out of Alhama de Granada and Granada and there is such a lot of scope for running and cycling through beautiful scenery, mountains, lakes and on good tracks and well surfaced, traffic free highways that the daily packing up and moving on is an added complication, ( and expense ).
The tours created some problems when riders or runners with differing abilities and requirements, often members of the same family, wanted to holiday together. For these reasons the tours, both running and road cycling, will only go ahead if requested by club groups ( 4 or more people ) who can book early enough, with a specific week ( or longer ) in mind so we can prepare a tour to suit.
Trail Running / Fixed Base :
Training Weeks.
Saturday March 1st to Saturday March 8th.
Saturday March 8th to Saturday March 15th.
Runners can arrive / depart at any time during this two week period.
This option can be taken throughout the year.

Two Centre Trail Running Weeks.
Saturday May 10th to Saturday May 17th.
Saturday June 7th to Saturday June 14th.
Saturday October 4th to Saturday October 11th.
Avoid July 7th to 12th as this is when we promote the 250km, 5 stage, 5 day Andalucian
Sierras Challenge / RAWSPAIN. ( or contact us to enter ).

Marathon des Sables Training Camp:
Wednesday July 16th to Saturday July 26th.
( Any time during this period. )
€ 570 euros *
Road Cycling :
Fixed Base.
Select dates to suit your programme and we will organize accordingly,
This option can be taken at anytime throughout the year.
( Thursday April 17th to Tuesday April 22nd - Booked but still space to join in. )
You could arrive earlier and leave later.

Vuelta Special.
The 2008 race starts with a Team Time Trial in Granada on Saturday August 30th.
Our two centre tour starts Thursday August 28th to Thursday September 4th but it could be extended to Saturday September 6th.
The two centres will be Granada and Alhama de Granada which between them offer some excellent riding.
€ 700 euros *
* ( 7 night stay ) ( single supplement € 15 euros per night )
Optional activities ( extra fees apply ) available and must be booked in advance.
- Canoeing on Lake Bermejales.
- Mountain walking.
- Hot springs / Swim / Massage at Balneario or El Ventorro.
- Horse riding excursion.
- Mountain bike trip, ( bikes available to hire ).
- Alhambra Palace visit.

The Maroma Mountain Challenge.
Over the past 6 years I have run and walked all over the Sierra Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama planning routes for my trail running and adventure racing clients and I have built up quite a collection of excellent routes. My idea of the " Challenge " was to link a selection of the routes to make one big, achievable circuit.
