Hospederia El Ventorro

This rural hotel is Team Axarsport's main venue for training groups, teams and clubs. Also known as Venta la Paloma it is sited at the southern end of the impressive Alhama gorge and opposite a small lake and bird sanctuary.

Less than 3km from the centre of Alhama de Granada and right on the GR7/E4 long distance path it has been a hostel and resting place since the 17 th century. The Hospederia currently has 20 rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, TV., central heating and some with patios plus an excellent restaurant, a shop where you can buy local produce such as almonds, honey, goat cheese and olive oil and a conference room. Further rooms are being added including a
group of cave houses which will include hot springs and an extension to the popular
restaurant.

In July 2007 the cave house complex and Arab baths was completed. This is a fantastic and beautifully decorated addition to the El Ventorro ( pics right ) and we are pleased to be able
to offer this extra facility to our guests. We have a special clients rate for Arab baths and /
or massage, but will continue to use the main hotel accommodation, however if you would
like to stay in a cave house ( which is a little more expensive ) we can arrange it.

There is a secure store room and workshop area for bikes and stock from our " Inn for Out " department is also available here. We also have a selection of mountain bikes available for hire plus the chance to try out innovative new products such as Rotor and un-saddle.
